Opportunity

A Global Communicions and Intelligence Officer (GCIO) is responsible for effectively using technology and best practices to mitige risk and ensure the safety and security of Kohler Co. assets, people, and protection of its brand worldwide. A successful candide will use an analytical approach to assess and evalue incidents or potential disruptions to support all levels of the business. In addition, the candide will exhibit Kohler Co’s Key Beliefs of Delighting Customers, Inspiring People, Boldly Innoving, Owning it, and Prioritizing by supporting departmental initiives, shift oversight, and mentorship of team members.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of an experienced Kohler Co. Security Supervisor, the Global Communicions and Intelligence Officer will:

• Be responsible for answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring security video cameras and alarms including fire, door, and duress alarms.
  
• Providing general assistance as needed to associes, vendors and guests.
  
• Coordine response efforts to life safety incidents and dispch Security Officers, facilities, police, fire and EMS personnel as required via telephone and radio.
  
• Perform all duties a high level, having overall operional responsibility during the assigned shift and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
  
• Responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of associes, customers, visitors, and assets.
  
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of associes, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the premises.
  
• Use an analytical approach to assess a situion to determine proper escalion in the notificion process.
  
• Recognize and monitor security equipment issues ensuring the proper notificions are made for repair.
  
• Input informion from a variety of sources to maintain current accure records in the case management system.
  
• Utilize Corpore Security’s mass notificion system, maintaining accure contact informion, review and upde of system messages, and activion of notificions as required.
  
• Perform research and produce timely travel assessments or special detail reports to executives and travelers to high-risk areas.
  
• Maintain confidentiality, as a GCIO will be exposed to sensitive da.
  
• Scan and assess various public and prive informion sources, including social media, for potential thres to Kohler Co.’s properties, personnel, or brand.
  
• Assists in the development and training of Security Officers to improve individual performance.
  
• Sets the example for Global Security team members in all areas, especially in behavior and personal appearance.
  
• Consistently delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
  Takes the lead and proactive approach in improving security processes and procedures by identifying specific problems or deficiencies.
  
• Demonstres a high level of expertise for all computer software used by Global Security, including troubleshooting security systems as necessary.
  
• Participes in the planning of departmental objectives.
  
• Submits daily reports of activities and irregularities.

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum of a two-year college degree in an applicable field. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  
• Valid driver’s license.
  

• Strong verbal and written communicion.
  
• Working knowledge of basic computer programs and operions.
  
• Establish, develop, and maintain courteous and effective working relionships.
  
• Maintain emotional control and work effectively during emergencies, crisis situions, or extremely stressful conditions.
• Memorize, retain, and accurely recall informion.
  Prior experience balancing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, organize, prioritize, and adapt to constantly changing situions, and effectively take approprie action.
  
• Be able to work a flexible schedule such as holidays, weekends, irregular hours, or  shifts with short notice to support departmental needs.
  
• Provide guidance for others using effective decision making/problem solving skills.
  
• Work independently and encourage the same from co-workers.
  
• Comfortable interacting with executive-level decision makers throughout Kohler Co. and able to communice effectively with them
  
• Ability to use de-escalion and conflict resolution techniques

This means you’ll have access to your applicable benefit programs from your first day on the job, with no waiting period. The hourly range for this position is $33.40 - $50.10 plus tips/gruity. The specific hourly re offered to a candide may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candide’s experience, their educion, and the work locion.
